About me

Lea Lawson

Aussie Voice Actor

Fancy seeing you here! Perhaps you found me via IMDB and Linktree, or heard me in an audio drama or interactive title? Read about my background and training below!

Hey, there! Looking for a chameleon actor? You’ve found me! I’m Lea Lawson – a mixed race (Australian/Filipina), she/her, bi, part-time hearing aid wearing actor who performs in various voice projects (audio drama and interactive have my heart but open to all!) right from the comfort of my home studio. I run with a Rode NT-1 5th gen, PVC blanket booth and edit with Audacity. I have two and a half years experience in asynchronous, live directed, and improv sessions.

My voice can be described as melodious yet grounded in the moment and play Aussie, general English and general American characters. And whether you require a friendly and approachable voice, a trustworthy and informative tone, an alluring presence, fire, ice, or charmingly vulnerable, I am pliable to deliver your direction. I have good instincts for timing, versed in characters who can hit your quiet emotional beats just as easily as the high octane ones, and have performed in multiple genres. Dramedy is my wheelhouse, and am developing a rep for sassy and frantic characterisations. Captivated with wanderlust too, I am open to working with anyone across the globe and really enjoy working with international casts! My travels have garnered me an open minded perspective, and I am also open to relocating for a project.

From July ’25-Jan ’26 I spent six months in Canada practising auditions, recording for several indie projects, and have been dialogue editing since November ’25! And during my two and a half years in the VA industry I’ve been honing my skills at the Jennifer Hale’s SkillsHub.

I have cameo’d in a lot of audio dramas, and am a permanent cast member in a Mass Effect actual play podcast I Should Roll playing both myself and the flirty force of nature Athena Hellier (and various characters), as well as audio drama Appalachia: A Fallout 76 Story playing the snarky, flamboyant Pip-Boy Kitt. And most recently I have solo recorded and produced an improvised seven episode audio drama! Vignettes airs May 26th, 2026. It’s a no context, open ended whirlwind and I’d love to know what you think!

Please reach out any time via email, or add me on socials, as I would love to bring your project to life and can’t wait to sink my teeth into another character! Talk soon. Take care.
