About me

Lea Lawson

Aussie Voice Actor

Fancy seeing you here! Perhaps you found me via IMDB & Linktree, or heard me in an audio drama or interactive title? Read about my background & training below!

Looking for an intuitive, chameleon actor? You’ve found me! I’m Lea Lawson – a mixed race (Aussie/Philippine), bi, millennial, part-time hearing aid wearer, non-union Australian actor who is eager to take on new challenges and collaborate with you, right from the comfort of a home booth in Adelaide, Australia!

My voice can be described as melodious yet grounded in the moment… and a bit closer to english than your stereotypical Aussie due to where I was born and raised (South Australia). Whether you require a friendly and approachable voice, a trustworthy and informative tone, an alluring presence, or even fire and ice, I am pliable to deliver your vision. I perform in native Australian, general American and general English.

I hold no ego and so take your wisdom of direction seriously – whether it be a through a live directed session or recorded asynchronously. I have two and a half years experience in improv and voice acting, so I have good instincts for timing, characters who can hit your quiet emotional beats just as easily as the high octane ones, and have performed in multiple genres. Dramedy is my wheelhouse, and am developing a rep for sassy and frantic characterisations.

I have a lifelong love of watching and listening to film and television, playing video games, and “committing to the bit”, so this acting career feels right! And, like many VAs, am a bit of a nerd too. My friends and family describe me as independent, playful, wise, and very go with the flow (INFP-A, anyone?). Captivated with wanderlust too, I am open to working with anyone across the globe and really enjoy international casts! My travels have garnered me an open minded perspective, and I am also open to relocating for a project (I recently spent six months in Canada and would love to go back!)

Am currently honing my skills at the Jennifer Hale’s SkillsHub. Training from there, and elsewhere, can be found further down the page!

Please reach out any time via email, or add me on socials. I would love to bring your project to life and can’t wait to sink my teeth into another character!
